Condolences

Condolence From: Philip Hughes
Condolence: I was saddened to learn that my favourite teacher ever had passed. He was more than history teacher to me--he was the coach of the Reach for the Top Team and someone I admired a great deal. Rest in Peace sir. Sorry that I was not able to be there in person to say farewell.

Condolence: Dear Lani, Laryssa and Len:

Every time I pass, Ypres Avenue, I think of your Dad. I was sitting in Gr. 9 history (the one and only time I took History) class and we were learning about World War I when I was asked to say pronounce the word "Ypres." I paused because I didn't know how to pronounce the word, so your Dad dramatically said in an accent, "Come on, speak French to me!" I was on the spot now and lucky for me Heather Quick leaned over and whispered the answer!
At the visitation, Laryssa, you mentioned that Forster Secondary was the first teaching job for your Dad. He would have been interested in hearing that one of his former students created a little film about Forster's fallen from WW II. I produced it last month for Remembrance Day. Mr. Landale, you taught me well. Here is the film I would have loved to have shared with you: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A6cyL5cqCIA

With sympathy,
Stacy (Popmarkov) George
